It just so happened that I had a couple Oklahoma boys sitting in the MWR watching the game with me here in the box, I didn't rib them to much but I did have some fun. Till I realized they had live ammo for their weapons.

i think they found their coach -- they did a hell of a job !!!

 

I was kinda worried at the beginning of the second half though!

After that it was almost comical. We'd score...they'd score...we'd score...etc

In the end, I think we need to make the Interim Coach, the Head Coach...what do you guys think?

I was thinking the same thing, I guess they were going to see how the game went before they hired him.

 

Bobby....somebody said that they heard on the radio that they had hired him. I dunno if it's true or not. Personally, I hope they do!

Yeah its true. I heard it on the radio earlier and when i got home i checked on the net to confirm it.

 

they hired him in a handshake deal right after the game -- $800,000 per year plus incentives -- damn i should have put in an application -- he also said that any of the assistants that wanted to stay were welcome and that he was going to start contacting the players they had already recruited immediatley -- look on www.wvmetronews.com and they will have audio of the news conference -- he sounds like a fairly down to earth guy

 

Ok i dont really care for football but i do have a comment. What do these football coaches do that is so important to this country and its economy that they are worth $800,00 or more a year? Its just a game.

 

Still hard to believe we were able to just sit back and enjoy a bowl game for a change.

I gotta say that's the first time I've ever seen an on side kick attempt halfway through the THIRD quarter. Wow.

 

Cheeto...it used to be worse dude! Rich Rod was making more than the WVU President was. Imagine that...a football coach making more than academic professors. Isn't the purpose of a University to be an institution of higher learning! Ok, not gonna get into THAT discussion tonight!

Yeah Jason...it was really funny to see them try two consecutive 2 point attempts too.

 

I broke a leg the day before school started back in 69.
That was the end of my football and all other sports, so I don't watch sports.

The day Rod quit, I was talking with some guys and made the comment I think it would be great if WV ran over Oklahoma just for Rod.

Everyone at the table said, Never happen, they are to high in the ranking over WV.

Guess who is eating crow now.

I just laugh.

 

Yeah it was. I was expecting to see a fake punt next. A failed fake punt of course!

 

I think our guys were ready for trick plays....with OU's history with trick plays.
