Frame on my 53 F-100

My frame on my 53 F-100 is all messed up and I need some advice on what to do? Is there a frame from another car that I can replace it with? I had someone look at it to see if he can fix it, but nope. I was told that I might be able to get a frame from another ford car (not necessarily another 53 f-100). Is that true?

Frame

From what I've read cars and trucks have different frames. There are usually two or more years and models of trucks that will work. Tell everyone exactly what is wrong with your frame and others will give you a run down on what can be done to yours or options on replacement. Have a great day, chuck

You clearly have not talked to anyone who knows squat about Ford trucks. Frames are eminently fixable. Good frames, bare or in parts trucks can be found for next to no money.

What's wrong with yours? Pictures? Start a gallery.

Welcome to FTE hotrodchic79!

Give us a little more info on the problems with your frame. As Randy stated, you can usually pick up a used frame for the 53-55 years for a decent price, sometimes free.

I don't think she can start a gallery here till she reaches a certain number of post that I have not reached yet but she can off-site a gallery

I imagine that it is overwhelming to you when you see holes or rot,and some-one says -it is shot!!! I think you have come to the right place. The people on here will set you on the right course. Many are awesome fabricators, and even I have done my fair share--but only work on my own projects now.
Put a pic on and maybe a fte associate near you can help tell you the easiest fix. If nothing else, there is a free parts for sale/wanted area and maybe you can find a bed on there.
Personally,I would weld her up and save some money--but you may want a different approach.....welcome and don't be scared to ask away!!!! BILL

Welcome the fte HRC79. Hold on for a bit on any decisions while you hang out here of a while. I think you will learn that the frames on these trucks are very repairable and quite forgiving as a matter of design. You would not believe the condition of mine when I started, it was a throwaway by a guy who was told it was to old to use. It was 1/4"out of square and was fixed for free. I do know that car and truck frames are nothing alike and share nothing in common. The 53 through 56 frames will interchange.
We love pics. Gallery asap.

Thank you. I think I'm going to get a couple of different opinions for my truck.

Also, I will be more than happy to post pics... once I figure it out
