56 bumper

I have a chance to get a fairily nice 56 bumper.The problem is have a 57 will the 56 work on my 57? Both are F100.

up here in canada a lotta 57-60s (low line) came from the factory with that bumper on em'.........including mine, not sure iffin' they did the same in the usa r' not.
far as i'm concerned they look better n' the wraparound type bumpers..they have too heavy a look to em.

I assume you are asking about the front bumper. I put a bumper off of a '57 on my '56. The bumper appears to be the same. The lower mounting bracket is straight on the '57. On the '56 there is a slight offset because the '56 frame is not the same. So you will have to use the brackets from your truck.
