where to get rebuilt engine put in near hamden Connecticut??
hi all, my tired old engine on my old truck has a 351w 5.8 l engine need to be replaced.where is a place near hamden Connecticut that will put in a rebuilt engine for me for a decent price?thanks
Do you have any good friends...with an engine hoist and a few tools...and maybe a draft beer system and a believer in the Protestant work ethic. And a telephone?
hatchet, I hope I didn't appear to be sarcastic, but that answer I gave is how I replaced the engine in my 79F150, 351M. The difference being, is that my friend offered while sitting at my kitchen table. I bought a rebuilt long block, and we put it in. Another thing to consider is to post an ad in the local paper...there are plenty of guys out there doing jobs like that in their garages for less than 80 bucks an hour or whatever. Local junkyards also do those types of jobs.....just a thought.
I used to have Lydell Motors on State Street in Hamden (actually North Haven) do work on my Navigator and 5.0 Mustang, very nice shop, but a little pricey.
