Bumper covers were only available for the gas motore vehicles. If you notice, trucks inOBS like the lightning had a solid front bumper, with no air holes on the sides of license plate. urtrucks were supposed to require more air, and even if you look int he books, a lot of custom bumper covers will actually state they fit "F350 (EXCEPT DIESEL)" What I dont uderstand is that a lot of coversion companies put them on at their factory, like Choo Choo and such. Perhaps not as much air needed as first thought? Or perhaps that was added by the same dumbazz engineer that though the EBV was needed........

i was refering to the air dam under the bumper not the holes or vents in the bumper on the sides of the license plate

Nope, mine had it on it when it was new. Didn't last long in the woods and trails though so I left it off.

Yeah, mine had one of those bumper valances too. Until I melted it off with a kero heater trying defrost my gelled fuel lines a few years ago. We all make mistakes right?

I also have a relative that has a '95 150 gasser and it has the original bumper and it has the cutout holes like ours. Go figure.

i may have to go ahead and get one of those valances and some "chicken lights" then. i did always think that the cutout holes were diesel only thing thats how ive been able to tell them apart when i see them on the road. always thought gassers had a solid bumper.

that is weird, we had about 50 or so of obs trucks and only the diesels had the cut outs in the bumper, all the gassers had solid bumpers. I personally like the way they look with the holes tho.

I agree. It does sound weird but that is what he told me and I have no reason not to believe him. Oh well.
