Spoken like someone who's never been there. When you strap over 1000 hp in something and it sprays oil on your tires you don't have any choice where you go, you're just along for the ride.

Any drag racer knows when he lines up, he's at risk of something like this happening. Hate to see it.

Bad situation. A low dollar component faild and sprayed the track on the drivers side with coolant. left tire lost traction and right didn't. You saw the result.
Silver was right on the money. Frank was just along for the ride.
Here is what is more amazing. Yeager (red truck) pulled off the bumper and won the pro class that day.

This was at lightning fest 5 last year. When it happened the amount of help offered by the lightning owners ther was a sight to see. Kudos to Johnny lightning performance for there support of Frank and his support of NLOC

Lightnig fest 6 being planned as we speak. If you get a chance to attend it is a must. What a blast.

Mike

I thought Yeager ended up in 2nd? It doesn't matter, he still put a lot of heart into the event.

Right on the money again.
Ray Johnson won Yeager second. Must be my memory clouded by wanting him to win :{)

I was gonna make a comment, but it looks like LxMan was already taken to task for his comment.

I remember reading, when Frank finally posted, how sick it was to feel the lack of control over where the truck goes.

Frank is far from an idiot and he is a very experienced drag racer. But even experienced racers put 'em into the wall at times.

I hope L-fest 6 gets off the ground. I'd probably be able to make this one, if my truck ever gets back together.

Stewart

I'm not a drag racer, and I hate to see that happen. However once your lined up it's a chance you have to take. Bad thing about it is that the truck will have to be fixed out of the owners pocket. I can't imagine trying to file an insurance claim .

Not sure any company insures while racing.

Stew
Looking like Lfest 6 will happen. I think the Tulsa track is out but KCIR is open for same weekend as last year so discussions are beginning. Should be lot's of news in the next week or so.
