help truck acts like a dog?

1st vist 10/05/06 mileage: 32370
1.)Code 69---- performed IDS test to verify DTC P-0401 and performed test/check 1 thru 5 on perf. sheet performed PID data monitoring and pinpiont tests remover and inspected EGR valve - badly cooked up replaced EGR valve assy.
2.)cleaned out intake ports and run engine to clean out cleared DTC and road tested ok- retested pass DTC verified repairs ok

2st visit 03dec07 mileage: 47160 (diff dealer that the first)
1.) tech code p123b
2.)reflashed pcm,tcm and ficmto latest calibration file
3.)I had a intake on the truck they reinstalled the stock air box
4.)they say the problem with the veh. is the air pressure not being read correctly by MAF sensor


3rd visist 07/02/07 Mileage: 58,756
1.)performed diesel driviabilty diagnosis. retrieved CMDTC p0401 and p123b
2.) performed boost test/no boost
3.)perform VGT test (6005f25) turbo failed test
4.) performed TSB 06-23-3 removed turbo and disasembled. inspected and cleaned turbo reinstalled and repeat boost test. now truck makes only 30 psi boost.
5.)smoke test intake and exhaust for leaks and found a leak in turbo inlet pipe from left exhaust manifold. removed turbo and y pipe,pipe was cracked at flex joint. installed new inlet pipe. reinstalled turbo and repeat boost test 24 psi boost now
6.) clear KAM and relearn VGT startegy



this is just a few thing that have been done

List your truck specifics and it will help (05 or 06?, 4WD?, standard or Torqshift?).

You say it only makes 30 psi boost - do you have a tuner? What other mods do you have other than the intake?

Be more descriptive on how the truck runs and more folks may be able to help.

this is just a few thing that have been done. thre is no more intake on the truck and there are no tuners as of yet....... the truck is stock basically it has a lift kit thats it..... y\it a automatic torqueshift also the truck does blow white smoke not all the time but some of the time........

I was wondering what you had that made you expect more than 30 psi boost? This is about the max that I have seen from day 1 with my truck (and probably what some would considered to be conservatively safe w/ head gaskets).

Hopefully someone will be along soon w/ some ideas.

The 30 psi was not me saying that thats the tech report from the tech who worked on my truck
