Question EGR probems

have a 05 f-350 6.0 powerstroke dsl. i have put a banks powerPDA and after reading the OBDll codes two codes came up. the codes and defintion are "P0404 EGR, EGR control circuit range/performance EGR sensor or valve, EGR position circuit" and "P0405 EGR, EGR sensor A circuit low open circuit, short to ground, EGR position sensor". what is my problem and how can i fix it, also do i have to orderin any parts?

isnt that egr stuff covered under warrenty????

2005 with 1006000km on the truck no warrenty.

I know working for International I have seen quite a few of those EGR Valves go bad and hate to say it but it does a special puller as it is easy to break the ears off on the valve

Check out the tech folder in the 03-07 6.0 forum. It gives some great insight on removing the egr to clean or replace.

OH yeah it takes a REALLY SPECIAL puller, same one I use to remove carrots from my garden teehee. we all(well mostly) have two of them

I used a welding rod.
