I have a few new pictures of my 460 being torn down. In 2 weeks she will be at the machine shop being bored, blue printed, and decked. I also have the before and after pictures of the C6. Wow what a differance 30 minute soak in Easy-Off oven cleaner does. Also can anyone tell me if I need that damn thing sticking off the back of the tail housing of the transmission. I have a picture of it there as well. Thanks.

I'm the guy you bought this hum-dinger from. I've o-hauled many a C-6; the thing-a-ma-bob on the back of the tranny is actually a type of vibration dampner!!.....I would leave it attached...the Lincoln you took it out of used it to create an "improved" ride for the occupants....I doubt your 600 horsepower monster is going to provide a "smooth" ride though...if you leave it off you'd save 3 pounds...

What is the oil filter looking dinguss on the air filter housing?

 

The only thing I can see that thing being is a silencer of some sort. I took the top off the air cleaner and looked in it. It's hollow and doesn't have anything connected to it. That is all I can say about it.
