that is very interesting. The other thing I noticed about the web site is that it does not call it the sync it just talks about voice dialing via bluetooth, bummer. (diesel)(6.2 gasser) lets have a moment of silence and pray for it.

I think you're right, although the outside mirror is exactly the same as the ones on my 06 Ranger. I'm not positive but the Explorers may have the same mirrors.

I hope that Ford gets rid of the console shift that they have wrecked that current F-150 and goes back to a column shift. I could not see where the transmission shifter was located in the picture to tell.

The console shift is only an option on Lariat's and FX4's. Column shifts can be had on these models and is the only option on XLT's and down.

IF I could afford a Lariat, I'd like to have the console shift.

You must not look to hard because to me that looks nothing like the F150 spy pics

That's an Exploder interior, which does have some cool features by the way.

The Console shift is a requirement on the Lariat and Limited in the f-150. I tried to get a 08 and was told that thats the way they all come.
When I tried to get leather seats in a 08 XLT I was told that leather was not offered in the XLT's.
It would be nice if it was a option to not get a console shift in a Lariat.
I am a big and tall type of guy and the console shift takes away all my knee room. I would like to get f-150 with a similar layout like my old 99 had with leather captains chairs (for the electric seat that goes down) with a between the seat console and lots of open space for my knees!

Goto: http://www58.forddirect.fordvehicles...ord&sZip=92101

Click on the Lariat box on the left side, then read the standard options. The very FIRST ONE is:

"Leather trimmed 40/20/40 front seat"

The captains chairs are an option, albeit a very popular one. My '04 has the captains chairs and I love them and the huge center storage console that comes with them.

People should really do their research before making claims.

Console shifter

I don't remember the column shift being an option on my '05 FX4. I might be wrong, but I just don't remember it. I sure woulda got a column shift if I could have! I'm in the same boat with being a big guy, plus it'd be easier to mount all my sh** in there in the middle on the hump!
