M5od And M5r2

I pulled a 5 speed tranny from a 1990 ford f150, trying to buy an after market shifter, but need to know if the M50D AND M5R2 are the same transmissions or if their different? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

well i guess technically the are and they are not

you have the m5r2 or m5od-r2

just m5od could also refer to the explorer/ranger trans which is the m5od-r1
