Desktop Dyno 2000 and EFI 460

I'm considering buying Desktop Dyno 2000, but I don't know if includes baseline EFI 460 or not. At present, this is the only engine I'm researching so if it's not included, it won't do me any good. Anyone got any comments about the program, specific or general?
Thanks,
Robert

These are the patterns that were found in my program folder. For any other engine you will need the specs and have to manually enter them. But, I'm not complaining. For the price of the software, it seems to be a decent way to compare engines or changes made to them. The only real gripe I have is it doesn't chart below 2000 rpm. Kinda hard to compare RV cams and such.

Now, if you get the camdisk with it, that comes with too many cams to even think about listing here. It's a nice bonus if you know the product number of the cam in question. IE. 34-235-4 V8.cam is the compcam X4262H grind.
I have found it to be comprehensive and accurate concerning cams.

Hope this helps you decide, need anymore info let me know.

Do some searches for DD files. The Chevy crowd has pretty well privately documented most common aftermarket cam files and head flow numbers for DD on websites and even include some SB Ford and Mopar files, but due to their large numbers, they're well ahead of BB Ford enthusiasts in most respects. Especially in using dynamic compression ratio for choosing cams. Somebody, (maybe even DD?) has to have a baseline for the EFI 460. Or you can enter it manually. The only drawback I can see in manual entry is the limited selection of EFI, without the ability to change injector size, so you'll need the injection CFM.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. We're not talking big dollars here, so I went out and bought the program. I agree with RanDawg in that it's too bad the curves don't go below 2000, Any way around that? Also, I didn't see any mention of a roller rocker option. Any opinions there?

For the roller rockers, the performance guys say add about 30hp/30 torque to your table values. Also if you go to the Crane Cam website @ www.cranecams/master/toc.htm there is a wide variety of cam specs that you can go through and enter in, which eliminates the need for downloading the cam files and taking up space on your hard drive. Just remember that the numbers for IVO and EVO that are in brackets, enter them in as negitive values, and to set your cam specs to @0.050. Also you can pick the block you want, the type of induction weither it be carb or fuel injection, just like that other guy said, make sure you know your cfm rating of the fuel injection system you have. I have also found that the 460 is a motor that is very difficult to make seriouse horsepower and torque without changing the heads, roller cam, and headers. Other than that the program has been the best investment I have made and the same performance guys that told me about the roller rockers say that the program is within 10% of its values compared to a dyno and the actual motor. I currently have a 500hp/600 torque 460 in my bronco and I love every part of it, except when I get to the pumps.

Has anybody just played around with it and got over 4000 hp? I managed to make just over 6000 hp at 11000 rpm at 10000 it was 2000 something. I love that program. With it you can find out what cams heads( well type of heads anyway) induction cam timming . Well the list goes on and on. I love the irater testing to find what combos work the best for you.
