The Test-should I?

well, i'm think about hooking up and making a 1500 mile round-trip to TEXAS from KY to haul mysekf some hay in. i feel like i'm getting raped anally by paying $60/ roll for hay to be hauled in that cost $20/roll from the farm in arkansas. its cray! so, i'm paying $170/ton for this arkansas hay, and its only ho-hum. the texas hay i could wind up with $90/ton in by the time we took two trucks and hauled it in. i think i should. 2 psd's 24 hours on the road, tipping the scales at over 32,000# loaded each (counting truck, trailer, hay), sounds like a test- a fun one. what yall think?

Sounds like a helluva test. I don't know anything about hay, but if you factor in the round-trip fuel cost, does it still come out cheaper to go to TX and haul the hay back home?

You don't have to go all the way to TX for hay. My brother will sell you all the hay you want and it's a heck of a lot closer than TX. He is in South Georgia. Not sure what price he's getting, but I'm sure he'll make you a good deal. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you two linked up.

I'm in East TN. I sold all of mine for $20 a 4x5 roll. I made good money and didn't rip anyone off. People just don't care about anyone but themselves. The rip people a new A$$ hole selling them hay then they bitch about the price of fuel. Both are price gauging go figure.
