5.0 L Ranger Throttle Cable

I finished my 302/c6 swap on my 93 ranger supercab 4x4 a couple months ago. But I wasn't happy with the c6's power robbing ability and I really wanted o/d. So i found an AOD and am finishing the install of that right now. My question is for anyone who may have put and aod and 302 carb'd into a newer ranger - What did you use for a throttle cable? Mine is too long and I can't find anything that is shorter anywere. Also, how did you hook up the TV cable for the trans?

PS. it is an edelbrock carb and intake and i do have the TV corrector plate from summit.

thanks

Make sure you get the TV cable hooked up correctly or that AOD won't last. The Lokar TV cable kit is the way to go in my opinion. The throttle cable can be scavanged from a 2.8 BII or Ranger, that's what I used and it worked rather well. I did need to make my own bracket, no big deal. It's pretty nifty, the throttle return spring is in with the cable. Really you should be able to use the stock one from your truck as well.
