This link will take you to the ebay listing. Maybe this is one of the last F350s to be built and Ford ran out of front 60s?? The VIN is a legit F350 #. I think someone on FTE a few years back had one of these also. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rare-...em270198251120
looks like somebody bought the truck to put a dana 60 under their f-250 and put the stock f-250 dana 50 under the f-350 and put it up for sale. i highly doubt that ford ran out of 60's.
If memory serves me correctly Ford put the TTB on the 350 4x4s from 1980 to 1983. After that they went to solid axle fronts on the 1 tons. A buddy off mine bought a new 350 4 x4 in 1980 TTB. It was quite a bit beefier then the TTB on the 250s. The hubs on the rims were exactly like they are pictured in the ebay ad. Interesting. Could be they had some leftover from those years being it was the last year off that bodystyle. 1980 to 1997. Interesting.
Thats one bummer of a 1 ton! I wouldn't want it. The VIN listed on ebay isn't even right. The first character should be a 1 not an A but the rest of it is correct for a 350. I don't why it would be built like that unless it was a special build for fleet/industry.

It was 80-85 Ford used the Dana 44HD TTB on the F350 4x4, and starting in '85.5 they used the kingpin Dana 60. '92-'97 was the balljoint 60. This truck is a mystery.
I like how that it says it is rare as there is a good reason for it being rare since the TTB front-axle is not a desirable option. I agree with 96P_Stroke4x4 that someone may have swapped out the stock d60 and replaced it with the TTB to sell that truck
