There is major confusion between exhaust velocity and backpressure. Backpressure occurs under WOT high rpm conditions to some extent, but only occurs in significant amounts in clogged exhaust systems. Exahust velocity is require to produce smooth consistent power and torque, and is best maintained by having correctly sized exhuast ports and pipe.

Just stick with a single exahust and do a catback with dual outlets. That setup would sound great.

Backpressure does affect how the exhaust sound, I never said lack of it affected performance

Thats what I would do and it will help that motor the best any system could.

I dont know why it didnt come up bigger but basically it says, a Mangnaflow Hi Flow cat, 3 inch outlet, into a 3 inch inlet Flowmaster Super 44, and out into a 2 1/2 dual outlet, then into 45 degree sweeps behind the tires. Badass and it will help that little 4.2 out the best an exhaust system could possibly do.
