Exahust velocity is require to produce smooth consistent power and torque, and is best maintained by having correctly sized exhuast ports and pipe.

Just stick with a single exahust and do a catback with dual outlets. That setup would sound great.
Backpressure does affect how the exhaust sound, I never said lack of it affected performance

Thats what I would do and it will help that motor the best any system could.

I dont know why it didnt come up bigger but basically it says, a Mangnaflow Hi Flow cat, 3 inch outlet, into a 3 inch inlet Flowmaster Super 44, and out into a 2 1/2 dual outlet, then into 45 degree sweeps behind the tires. Badass and it will help that little 4.2 out the best an exhaust system could possibly do.
