Wiring an EGT guage

I have a 2005 F-250 with the 6.0L diesel. I have no wiring diagram, and had no luck today probing under the dash, trying to find a hot 12v source and a ignition switched 12v source. I realize I could get a constant hot from the fuse panel, but none of the wires coming out of the steering column indicate a switched source. Anyone got a diagram that could tell me color of wire to look for? I have a Chilton book, but the diagrams in the back are the pits.

Go to the diesel manor web site. It has all the info you need.

If you go to this page from DieselManor's installation instructions, it will show you which wires to use.

bythe way, that pictures shows the area directly behind the panel under the steering wheel (fuse panel location)

Yeah, I had trouble finding a good powersource for my trailer brake box when I was wiring that. Taking it out fo the fuse box makes things look terrible!

Hence, my confusion...there is no "red with yelow trace" wire in that bundled cable coming down from the steering head. I checked the wires and one has 12v on it, but goes to zero when the truck starts; two have less that 12v and the guage acts funny when connected (light comes on but the needle spins). The diagram also has instructions for a 'switched 12v source', a 'ground', and a 'place to connect the illiminaire' but my guage needs just a constant 12v, switched 12v and a ground. Thanks for the help but I think I'll still need a wiring diagram.
