Looking for a slide-in camper
I'm looking for a slide-in for my 88 F-150 with a 6 1/2 foot bed.
Anyone got a possible source?
Realistically, I couldn't care less about how the interior looks as long as it doesn't leak.
With an F-150 and the short bed I need something on the lighter/smaller side.
I've got a winter Jeep trip coming and I don't really want to spend the weekend sleeping on the ground in Feb. at the Badlands.......
A hi-top topper would an excellent second option.

BTW...I'm a 'slide-in' nut too......(got a 'Lance', but want a 2nd one due to number of people going on trips....).....
Good luck......

Been there, done that, have to cheap newsprint ink on my hands to prove it.
At least in my area, it seems to always be filled with people who bought more camper than they can afford and want you to pay for that, people who bought more camper than the truck they have and want you to pay for that, dealers who bought too many and think you won't notice, or people who have absolutely trashed their camper and think you won't notice while you are paying for it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm trying to find something I can use while I haul my Jeep around. I realize that if I had the foresight to buy a truck with an 8 foot bed, I would be in ALOT better shape, or at lease smart enough to buy a 3/4 ton truck. But sometimes that 'screaming' deal you got, turns out not to be when you go to use it for its intended purpose.

The Lance Lite should be perfect for your purposes.....Aint' nothing wrong with a short-bed......The old LanceLite815 is a decent camper, and the 2007/2008 models have ultra-lites built for 1500s and for Toyota Tundras, etc.......
You're still looking at 1300 to 1600 lb for the new models.......1700 to 2000 lb for the older ones........Even with an F250 or F350, get an airbag suspension system (not too expensive)......Helps greatly with that side-to-side sway on rough ground......

I guess I'm the last kid left in the shallow end of the tow rig pool....
With the incoming ChryCo babybus, a 'real' tow rig gets pushed off for at least another year.
