Did you check to see if there were any error codes? I had a similar problem with an identical truck where the oxygen sensor wires had melted against the transmission. One night it was running fine when I parked it, the next day it no power at all and I had to keep the accelerator on the floor just to keep it running. I rented a code reader from Kragen and it pointed me in the direction of the oxygen sensor.
