Got my SCT X3 from Matt today! It really is Xmas!

Emailed him my codes and "wish list"..didn't want to call him, I know he's busy as a one-legged man at a Butt kicking contest! Heck, maybe he's going to take a couple days off? Anyway! I'm already impressed with him, he got the tuner to me very quickly! I just can't wait!

Me too!!!!

Just picked mine up today and will be shooting Matt an email this evening. Have you tried to update your firmware? I downloaded the X3/Liveware updates and have been messing around with it a bit. It seems as though the updating firmware options are for the liveware and not the x3 because it has you "depress and hold the jog wheel"? Is that correct? Is there any way of knowing the firmware your tuner is currently runnning? Mine is also part number "3000" which isn't listed on the instruction pdf file.

Ok... I got it figured out and loaded the latest firmware. I'm sure it's old news to most, but to update firmware on the x3 you need to:

To update your X3's Firmware:
1) Download and install the Updater Software and latest firmware.
2) Press and hold the Cancel button on the X3 device while plugging in the USB Cable
3) Open the Updater software and select Update Firmware.
4) Select the firmware file when prompted.
5) The firmware update will begin transferring the new firmware to your device.

Mike, are you running XP for your computer's operating system? What version is your X3 currently? I managed to update my firmware and tune.

Yes using XP, current firmware is 1.1.109 and tune revision is 1.0.5

Your using the software from the SCT website right? I didn't get anything else with it?

Glad you figured it out... Took me a few tries to get the right order, but once I closely followed the directions it loaded perfectly! I imagine Matt will get a bunch of post Christmas tune requests and ours will be burried in them. Are you going to try to load one of the canned tunes? I haven't even plugged it into the pickup yet. I think I'll have to do that right now. Merry Chistmas...

I didn't have the USB driver installed, and I wasn't sure how to load the "tune revision" but transfer file made sense to me! I'm ready to go...I just noticed last night while I was doing the upgrade that it has canned tunes in it! I'm not messing with them! Trav460 had problems after loading his, I'll wait for the maestro to do his masterpiece! Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it!

Mike, we are back at work today after the holidays. I will be delivering new tunes to all waiting customers late this afternoon and updates to previous customers throughout the night.

Thanks for the patience
