'93 2X4 to '95 4X4

OK guys, here's the question-
My 93 2X4 was rolled and totaled, but the drivetrain 300/M 5speed) is still sound. I just bought a '95 4X4 without a trans/transfer case (it has a bad 300 and the automatic and transfer case is gone). I'm going to put the 300/M5 speed out of the ' 93 2X4 into the '95 4X4 and run it as a 2WD until I locate a transfer case for it. What is it going to take to convert the 2WD transmission to accept the transfer case?

You will have the get a back half of a 4x4 trans. The tcase mounts 2 the trans so if you go just yard picking try to find a truck with a manual trans. Im sure there are 4x4 companies that offer a kit.

Backhalf and shaft if remember right. With luck you could find a bad tranny for cheap and just use parts needed. Sorry about you old truck. But build a new unit alway makes them more special.LAter

I just bought a 94 F150 4 x 4 standard for parts. The 1st and second gears out of it. The transfer case is fine. I don't want the tranny or t/case. If you have any way to get it, let me know.

I am very interested in it. What do you want for it and where are you at?

Thanks

I live in Ontario, Canada, about 1 hour north of Toronto. The trans. and trans case are still in the truck and I don't feel like taking it out, but a buddy of mine will do it for you if you want to pay him. I figure if I got $300 for the whole trans/t/c , I'd be happy. He said there was a new clutch on it too. So you can have that and the pressure plate for yours. Maybe it would be worth taking the flywheel too. I will not need it.

The transfer case is good, but when the guy delivered me the truck, he lost 1st and 2nd gear about 3 miles from my place. The trans. seems to go into the slot for the gear, but the truck doesn't move. I don't know anything about the standard transmissions and don't care. My truck is an automatic. Maybe the transmission would be an easy fix with parts from yours?

FSSF,
Can't email you for some reason. What you've got sounds like just what I'd need, however with shipping costs from Ontario to the Central U.S. it's not going to be cost effective, Thanks Anyway.
