i dont how close you you want to keep the original look but have you thought of using studs vice bolts i know speedway sells a kit for the flathead made by arp especially if you have heli coils might be the way to go you wont have to worry about the bolts bottoming out then just a different look at the problem and my two cents worth of opinion
