...there is nothing that Ford has or will have that is going to touch the Vett....

Life is not only time paradoxically, it is the denial of time!
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
When you are down...look up...get up...and don't ever give up....

Or at least untill Ford ditches the lame "modular" engines. Ford has proven over the years that the ONLY way to get competitive HP figures from this engine structure is to BLOW the horsepower into the thing via a supercharger.
Whereas the VETTE already has a VERY potent N/A engine option that becomes a world beater with the addition of a supercharger.
outdated when they came out it's beyond me why Ford retains the modular V8 engine platform.

I think the modular engines are capable of beating the vette engine. It would take a supercharged 4 valve V10 IMO. WHat they should do is build a V10 aluminum block, 4-valve heads and use the 4.6L deck height and stroke.

And then what in the heck will you fit this monstrosity into? A Duesenurg! Or in other words valve for valve piston for piston the modular is incapable of matching the corvettes LS-9 engine or even the 7

Comparing same model years, the Ford GT was a step ahead of the Vette. BUT, at more than double the price, and a very limited production run, it was out of the question for the average person.
Ever see the magazine shootout (car & driver, or road & track) between the GT, Vette, and Viper? It was quite interesting.

Dodge fits a bigger V10 in their viper, so why can't ford? The v10 is still shorter than the old I6's ford used to use.
Any way, the DOHC 5.4 supercharged is more than a match for the LS7. My V10 proposition might be able to match the LS9. The GM LS series engines are good. they are better then the mod motors, but the MOD motors can compeet.
