No sticky needed:
Longbed dual tanks: 37.2 total (19 front 18.2 rear)
Shortbed dual tanks: 34.7 total (16.5 front 18.2 rear)
Single Tank any bed: 18.2
Doesn't get much easier than that....

You must have an odd ball, as cjg1999 posted SWB had 16.5 for front tanks 18.2 rear. LWB had 19's in front.

Not quite done. Mine is a long bed, and it has a 16.5 gal tank in front; 18.2 in rear.

easiest thing is look up the replacement tank in national parts depot catalog or lmc catalog for your specific year and model.

As soon as I get the cash my '96 long bed will have 50 gallon front and 18 gallon rear.

its physically not feasible, the side mount fuel tank is under the bed of the truck. since the only difference in the short and long bed is in the portion in front of the rear wheels (where the gas tank is) the fuel tank had to be shortened as well, hence the 16.5 gallon capacity. How you replaced your tank and put a 19 gallons in it?

I can't find the name of the company that makes the one I was looking at but Aerotanks.com makes a 40 gallon front tank for my truck as well as 45 gallon rear tank. They also make 55 and 62 gallon tanks for newer style F-series trucks. No word on price but when you need that extra distance provided IMO the high price would be worth it.
