Tranny and C6

On my 74 highboy i have a few qestions

The t-case shifter comes through the cab and is show below.. i cant get it to shift.

I then looked under and the linkage from the cab goes to a box on the side of the tranny and 2 other linkages comes out to the transfercases.. any idea what setup this is? i cant get it to shift into 4wd..
This is that box thing on the t-case

There is also a power cable going to the back of the transfer case. and clue what kind of tranny and c6 i got? its a 360 the guy said

the transmission is a C6, that box is not mounted to the t-case it is mounted to the tranny, they run to the transfer case which is a NP203 full time t-case, my guess is the linkage is probably siezed up spray it down with liquid wrench or something like that and let it soak. if you want 4 high, from normal driving position just push it forward, if you want all wheel drive low pull it to the left then up and it should fall back right, and if you want 4 wheel low push forward from there.

if there are hubs on the truck then some one has done the part time conversion on it, my 76 has a 203 with the part time conversion.

I swapped the NP 203 in my '75 highboy with a 205. It's basically a bolt in. Mine came with the mounts and brackets and I may have nad to drill a couple more holes in the frame but I positioned it with the input yolk the same distance from the tranny as the 203 so the intermediate and front shafts were unchanged. I got a longer rear shaft from a wrecking yard a eliminated the CV joint. The rear shaft is still rather short but shouldn't be a problem unless you lift the truck significantly. Needless to say I am now considering a CV joint once again. As far as the linkage goes, the 205 only has one rod. I just took one off and cut the other to mate to the case.

aga

Thanks a million guys, sorry im new to this rig

Few more questions..

Can i just unbolt that linkage assembly from the side of the transmission?
I have a lift on it now its about 12 inches.. what would you all do switch the t-case to a 205 or leave it if i can figureout how to shift it

Will a 80's bronco 205 work?

If so how do i get the divorce shaft on the np205 that hooks up to the tranny ona 4wd truck?

if you leave it the way it is now and get the 203 working that is the shift pattern.

is it just a spline / yoke from the tranny to the transfercase where the drive shaft hooks up?
