'08 F-450 JOB3 Updates - 4.88 ratio no longer available
Here are the JOB3 updates for the F-450 P/U. 4.30 LS is now the only axle ratio available.
JOB 3 ORDER GUIDE UPDATES – Effective on all vehicles built on or after Job 3 (01/02/08 – Subject to change)
• The Front License Plate Bracket is no longer standard. The Front License (153) is available as an option on all trims and is forced in states where required.
• The Rapid-Heat Supplemental Cab Heater (41A) is now available with manual transmission.
• Engine Idle Shutdown (63T) is required on 6.4L Diesel with Automatic Transmission in the following states: CA, CT, DE, GA, ME, NJ, NY, NC, PA. Optional on 6.4L Diesel with Automatic Transmission in all other states. Can be deleted for vehicles ordered by dealers in CA, CT, DE, GA, ME, NJ, NY, NC, and PA for delivery outside of those states. California and affected green states require non-exempted vehicles with diesel engines rated over 14K GVW to incorporate an idle shutdown system to prevent extended engine idle periods. After a predetermined period, the engine PCM automatically shuts down the engine and triggers the accessory module to shutdown power to the accessories to minimize battery drain.
• Engine Idle Shutdown Exemption (63E) is optional on 6.4L Diesel in all states for delivery and certification in the following states: CA, CT, DE, GA, ME, NJ, NY, NC, PA. Requires certification that the state exemption requirements are met.

• Engine Block Heater is now standard in the following cold weather states: Michigan, Vermont, Idaho, New York and New Hampshire.
• The High Capacity Trailer Tow Package (535) is no longer available. The standard max GCWR for F-450 PU with automatic transmission is now 33,000 lbs. The standard max GCWR for F-450 PU with manual transmission remains 27,000 lbs.
• A Winter Front Grille Cover is now standard and only available in the following states: AK, CO, ID, IA, ME, MI, MT, NH, NY, ND, SD, VT, WI, WY.
• The Rapid-Heat Supplemental Cab Heater (41A) is now available with manual transmission.

I personally wouldn't want this in my truck (If I had a 450 and lived in one of those states).
IMO: If i'm in my truck in 100 degree weather, I want it to run to keep me cool...not to shut down b/c people in Cali and other "green" states think it should.
