Cylinder honing

trying to remove some minor pitting due to antifreeze/ gasket leak. had one cylinder sleeved to reuse original piston set. shop said others were ok for honing and now i have run thru 4 100# grit set of stone and have not removed pitting. cannot feel pitting but can see it- new ring gap measures .025 on the worst cylinder and .017 on the sleeved cylinder. question is- keep honing or take back to machine shop and have them do it, also if they do have to bore out cylinder will I have to buy new piston/rings or will the set i have purchased already work still?

Jimmy Dean is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
if they bore out the cylinder, you will likely need to sleeve those cylinders as well to use the set of pistons/rings you have.
