Enigine failure

ok so i had a 2002 4.6L but the oil system screwed up and the engine Blew.

So now i have a New 2005 4.6L liter but there a problem everything is install correctly, but the valve cover(passenger side) with the oil fill is missing the oil fill cap . So I get this high pitch windy ANNNOYING sound. Plus my Engine check light is on. But the main prob is that my enige tends to want to stall out...when i come to full stop,Try to accellerate after a full stop and when i try to turn. So you can see how annoying this is.

Ive tried to buy the oil fill cap but the valve cover a fabricated oil-cap and spout. So i dont know what Oil cap actually fits it. Ive thought to buy new covers but the dont come with the cap. And was thinking about a "Breather".

Mainly i was wonder if some one can show me a picture of ther engine [ the passenger valve cover side (2005 4.6)] so i know if its suppose to be a breather or an oil cap ..and if i can just use a breather in replace of a oil cap. This seems like a dumb easy prob to fix but this engine has hose from the valve covers going into the throttle body and air intake area and i dont know what the hoses actaully do so id rather not screw anythign else up.

Sorry for the long explaination.

So your 2002 motor seized up due to a failed oil pump?

Now your having a problem with your 2005? The oil cap is missing? The oil cap missing is making your vehicle squeel? Some sentences are confusing such as:

"Ive tried to buy the oil fill cap but the valve cover a fabricated oil-cap and spout"

http://images.fourwheeler.com/roadte...fx4+engine.jpg

Here's a photo I found by going to Google Image and typing in F150 4.6L motor.

It might be nice if we had a little more info like:

1. Mileage
2. Any Repair history
3. Modifications
4. A better description of what symptoms you are having

Personally, I would suggest the following:

1. Check your oil level.
2. If it is missing an oil cap, get a new one either online or from the dealer.
3. Check your belt to make sure it is not covered in oil or glazed thus causing the squeeling.
4. Check your power steering fluid level.
5. Get your truck scanned at Autozone or somewhere similar to see what codes are popping up.

Other than that, we'll be here trying our best to help you out. Just keep the info coming.

Osteo- That link is to a older 5.4 I believe. It says 5.4 on the cover in the center.

This link may be correct for a 4.6L
http://ford.jbcarpages.com/FSeries/2...der/Bild20.php

I would try the dealer for an oil cap if its missing

Man, I can't believe you're actually running an engine without an oil filler cap. That squealing and the check engine light on is probably because you've sprayed a film of oil on your belt and sensors. Probably have it on the underside of your hood, too. The 4.6 has just a cap, no hoses or anything connected to it. They're easy to find at auto parts stores or get one from Ford. Or hit the junkyard, but just get one! Hate to see a Ford truck jury-rigged ! LOL!!

The second picture is the PCV valve. The third picture.... not really sure what your taking a picture of. If you replaced that hose in the picture with a larger one, then you got a problem there. What happened to the original parts? The oil filler spout looks like it's the stock spout, what did you do with the cap? My 04 has 55,577 on it and it looks brand new. What have you done to this poor truck to make it have this many missing parts already. I know I see the neck of a CAI in the pictures. Where is the TB cover? Mods are one thing, but doing mods half way and leaving half the parts off and losing the other half of them isn't good. Please for your trucks sake.... do your repairs/ modifications COMPLETELY. THe next owner will thank you.

thats problem i cant buy a cap becuz i dont have the spout and i cant buy just a spout i already went to FORD. and they say id have to buy all valve covers, im trying to find valve cover for less or if i just may be able to buy the cap/spout togethersomewhere.
but ive only been able to find the one made by bbk and i cant tell if those come with the caps or what and if they have the wholes for the hose in the pics.

you cant really hear the noise as loud as it is but now you can hear it a litte bit.
and its definitley the "oil cap" thats making the noise its like a air leak whistle. and it goes away when i have no cap in but then it die. and i have tried starting it with the cap already off (it starts then correctly, noise free, then dies]

Have you contacted the shop that put the engine in? Why did they not get and use the correct pieces...not making them. I would be in there yelling at them.

Check the junkyard for parts if Ford makes you buy everything.
