pre-filter for 6637

I will probably get the 6637 filter soon and JUNK the K & N I've got. Just have a question......I know the 6637 is a dry open air filter. How many of you use a pre-filter on it......and is it homemade or is it available to buy for it? I ask because of major snow here and wet roads....just seems like a bad combination for a dry open-air filter! Thanks in advance......

I run an Outerwears pre-filter on my 6637, its water repellent and washable. I ordered it "open" on both ends so I could mount my filter minder and air temp sensor in the end of the filter.

I made my own. I had someone teach me how to sew and I made a pattern out of newspaper. Pretty simple once you get into a rythem sewing.

I have a couple of Pete's filter covers. They fit and look great.

Great guy to deal with.

filter was $27.33 and with taxed shipped was $35.76. I called the local Napa store here and they wanted $49.95....a penny saved is a penny spent on another mod!

I just used a piece of panty hose - seems to be working well.
