Well at this point I'm scrapping my rod idea unless someone else has gotten it to work or explain/fix my amperage dropping the way it does. I can only assume in my basic mind it's because of the steel I'm using. A buddy of mine has some sheet ss that I can have if I can figure out how to cut it. Then maybe in keeping with my same design stack several 16"x2" plates together in place of the rods in a similar configuration as the "smacks booster". But this is yet to be determined and done! To be continued.........

twtcad. I'd play with your plate set up in a bucket first. Since the plates will provide more surface area in contact with the water you should need fewer plates or may require more amps.

How thick is the stainless steel? Light gauge you can cut with tin snips, if it's heavy you can buy a carbide blade for a circular saw or grinder to cut with.

Seen this yet?

Hey guys,

I have been following this post for months. Recently, WAVE-3 news here ran a story on Hydro 4000.

Here is the link for the news story:

WAVE 3 TV Louisville, KY | Hydro 4000 makers say device can substantially improve fuel mileage

Here is the link for the product: www.hydro4000.com

According to the story, they went from 9 mpg to 23 mpg. However, after reading about gassers, they have a problem with the Ox Sensor adding more fuel as it senses a lean mixture. So how did they conquer this problem?

Hope this helps.

Donnie

EFIE devices from what I understand fixed the gas engine O2 Sensor problems...

What kind of rods did you use? "NORMAL" rods are steel mabye galvanized coating too, you'd need solid stainless steel rods, or plates.

The rods are from Lowe's "Steel Works" Allthread-Plated 5/16"-18x3'-0" cut in half to make 18" rods w/ about 16" in the water. They are plated and I've run the unit total for about 3-4hrs (not continuous) so I would think most of the plating would have been cooked off. It should still make a good amount of gas just the rods would not last as long. Did you ever do a test on your setup of how much gas you produced in a minute?

Thanks.....yes it's a light gauge and he has some power snips that we are going to try.....great tips though I'm sure I'll end up using one of them!

5 gallon bucket

I posted earlier that my generator was pulling 50+ amps and producing little gas. Have not measured the output but I dumped out half the water and draw dropped to 20 amps. Will probably popur our all the water, rinse and start with just water and add soda to bring it up to 25-30 amps. Then measuer the output. Glad to know that I did not have a short. The stainless screen is holding up nicely. I may hit it with some sand paper while dissassembled. Wish I could figure out a way to put perforated tubing in the bottom and pull a vacuume on the tank.

Has anyone tried a belt driven vac pump from a diesel?

Stainless screen?!?!?
I missed something somewhere..... Thats awesome.....

All jokes aside, my coat hangers seemed to make decent gas with low current draw.....

Wouldn't that be funny to find out that the alloy used to make those cheap as hell coat hangers was the best alloy to use?

There was a link I saw a few days ago (I need to find it again) about an article where someone in another country was using a unique alloy and was getting impressive amounts of Hydroxy compared to plain Stainless steel.

Verified 19 mpg city taking off slow as hell the shutting down at red lights, and with the radiator grill blocked flush, no bed cover, "drag shoot" mirrors on I get 24 mpg at 50 to 55 mph on the freeway empty!
However, with a bed cover, no mirrors and Hydroxy

I saw a post about some strange materials, that did not sound cheap as I read them.

I think that link to the strange materials was up several posts from the end of the HHO thread in the IDI forum, which was given a couple posts up in this thread.

I'm thinkin its like this:

Slow degrading metal, lots electricity =

Fast degrading metal, less electricity.
