If I can get some spare time, I may just try to group and summarize the various ideas in a list or tabular format. Might take me a couple of days, but if I can get it done, I'll start a completely new thread with it.
I just read all 15 pages of this post and i am realy interested in this concept. there are a couple of safety fetures i can thik of off the top of my head
1-A water temp sensor in the bottom of the water vesel to turn this thing off if the water reaches the boiling point
2-Some kind of float system so if the water level gets to low the system will turn off
As the water decreases in the vesel the resistance is going to change.
Also here is another thought the gas pedal goes through a variable resistor . I think we could tap into that circuit to vary the voltage in the generator and also put a solinod in the curcuit to turn of the H flow into the intake. So the only time the H is being injected is when your on the pedal.

You didn't read with a lot of comprehension - both items have been suggested - ie, when the water gets low - it shuts itself down - no water, no current, no hydrogen??? And I still think a small computer to control everything..

Is everyone just going to talk about this or are we going to try it?
YES! .

I have a wife who's been extremely sick for over a month now, and just making sure the house and kids are taken care of so she can rest and fully recover is taking virtually all of my spare time right now.
Its a small one, but I like the design. If it works well with no problems I'll end up putting it on a car and making a larger one for my truck. It should be here in a couple days. I'll let everyone know what the verdict is.

Playing Mr. Mom ah Pete. Hope she has a fast recovery.

I appreciate it. Not to hijack the thread, but I'm afraid that it's going to be a very drawn out recovery. She's a workaholic in the house, homeschools all our children, keeps the place spotless at ALL times, doesn't eat right, puts everyone else above herself, doesn't understand what the word "rest" means... you kinda get the picture.
When the flu hit her before Christmas... this body-mandated rest has been a long time coming, and she's having a hard time letting go of things. Fortunately, I have wonderful kids in spite of myself, and the older ones are really pitching in and helping take care of things to a tremendous degree.
On top of this, my mother-in-law just showed up unexpectedly today from Miami to help out for a few days, which is a wonderful help in all respects. We all get along great and have a lot of fun together, and she's a cleanliness perfectionist herself as well. Hopefully, we can keep my wife down for a while and let her regain her strength.
As for the H2 generator, how long from start to finish does it take to put one of these things together and install. If we get a couple of guys around the country to put them together and standardize the materials list this may be a good idea for the first couple of wrenchfests! We all bring our trucks to several central locations early one morning, and by the end of the day we all have had great fun, food, fellowship and a new mod to our trucks!!
