Test Drive

Last chance,
I know the feeling. I just got my 53 back from a mechanic. Unfortunately I can't drive mine until spring because of old man winter is here for a while.
Anyway, Congratulations...
Jeff

Congrats!!!

That first drive is always a kick in the pants. When I first took mine around the block it took several weeks for the grin to go away (and the burnout marks in front of the house....lol)

I love that pic! Very cool!

Congrats on getting her on the road. Great looking ride. I would take my '50 out but I would have to mount wheels on the basket it's in.

Thanks guys, I was able to leave a few sets of skidmarks after fixing some leaks and some things that I forgot to do. I was real please with the 8 3/4 742 rearend and the Aod. The 3.23 gears give her just enough pep and cruises real well at 55 mph and up. The flow control valve I added in the steering line really calms down the volare and makes it nice to drive. The 53 merc bench seat(not recovered yet) that I am using sits great. A few more things to bolt in and then across the road for paint. I will try to take some pics in the daylight so it can show up better before we tear it down again.
