170k miles on my 04 E350

I have a 5.4litre engine in one of our workvans. The 04 E350 has been great for us. No problems what so ever. The mileage is at 170,000 miles. How long do these 5.4litre V8 engines last and how much does a rebuild/remanufactured cost? Also, same questions applies to the tranny...how much for a rebuild/remanufactured?

If everything is humming along nicely she'll make 200k with regular maintance. Others have reported going past 200K with no problems. It just depends on how it's being used.

It logs about 120 miles daily, 7 days a week, 340 days a year...It's running like a champ so far. Synthetic oil change every 5k miles, tranny fluid every 20k, coolant every 50k, diff fluid every at 100k, fuel filter at 50k, spark plugs at 100k...

We have a 03 E350 with 480,000 on the original drive train front to back. Another outfit with a E350 got 515k on first engine and tranny and have 860k on the second set. All of these vans have 5.4 liters. The way you are taking care of your machine it could make it to a million.

I was thinking about what we where doing to help get more miles. Our maintance plan is the same as every bodyelse the only diferense is we only run 89 octane our better. The van runs like crap and drinks a lot of gas on anything less.
