Hmmmm I never heard of the "Platinum Edition". But I still can't see the truck being worth $42k.

If I'm not wrong, platinums were introduced in 2000 for a year. I have seem them, but all are priced of 20s.

the only special edition I have heard of is the lariat LE. other than than most are simply labeled by dealers with some pinstriping or something.

The Platinum Edition is a real truck, released in 2001 in limited quantities. They only came as a crew cab, 4wd, diesel. When I worked in Houston there was a guy that had one. Nice truck, except for the visor thing over the windshield. That always bugged the heck out of me.

Is it worth $42K???? I don't think so.

Looks like a nice truck, but not worth 42k, did you see down in the bottom other items by this seller, there was a 93 mustang and he wanted 23k for it.

Yes there was platinum editions only available in 2001. Basically it was a higher end lariet trim package.

42K is buy it now. I wonder what offers he did get. That truck is worth about 20K at best.

his feedback is a good read also. apparently he is just a broker, and listed a bunch of cars on ebay, and could not produce them because the owners sold them before the auctions were up, but never removed the listing and sold them again.

since he's just the middle man.....he's obviously working on a commision percentage! The truck is worth like $19-20,000 and it's very odd to not have ANY pics of the interior!!!!! Very VERY risky to ever buy any vehicle without driving it tooo!!!!! People do it everday though......not me.

There are at least 2 V10 platinum editions I've seen in San Antonio.
