Lookin for tall skinny mud tires

I am getting ready to shoe my 68 4x4 F100. I converted it to 4x4 and I plan to run the stock 2wd steel wheels and hub caps. I have no lift yet and I would like to run a 33-34" tall tire on these wheels as long as there are no clearance issues. I use this truck to hall wood, play in the snow/mud and run gravel roads. It will only see the highway maybe 50 miles a month max. I was looking as a set of 34 9.50 15 swampers or a set of 33 10.50 15 BFG M/t's, mainly because they were the size I was looking for. Anybody out there have any experience/opinions they would like to share, all input is welcome?

LTBs are a great tire for the price and they come in odd sizes that you dont find in other tires. 34x9.5 swampers would also be a good choice.

Quad...isnt this where you say...wait for it.....run rocks and boggers?

Like everyone else said, some 34x10.50-15 LTBs.
They are real cheap, and have great traction.

Here's a set on my dad's 04:

Im running 35x10.5 boggers (stock wheels, minimal lift, 96F150) and think they are great. Only issue with boggers is lateral movement, but because mine are narrow it doesnt effect me as much. (unlike my buddys 35x16 boggers) and I can climb quite a few hills better than him. LTBs sound like a good option as well, I almost bought them instead of my boggers.

34's and 2.5 ton alxes?.......better make them the 5 tons. sike, I place a vote for the 34 ltb's. I just sold my set that I had on my truck and they were 34 10.50 ltb's and they were a great tire. they have never let me down.

No chit! gotta watch out anytime you get abouve 30's! 5 tonneys are even risky with 34's! better be careful on the skinny pedal!

This is my first 4x4 toy and I have never ran anything more aggresive than an all-terrain tire. I will try to post so picks of the truck tomorrow. I was going with the stock wheels cause I kinda like the stock wheels and caps for that sleeper look. I hope my 9" & dana 44 combo will it, the hubcaps add alot of rotating mass. The 429 probably won't make much torque anyway Can you post sound clips to the to the forum? If so I will do a sound clip of it running.
