Dirty Diesel 07, I'm not sure about the f250's;but on my 97' f350 I have a reverse shackle and 35's on it. The reverse shackle raised the truck about 2in in the front. The rear is just like it came from Ford. I went through the deal of lifting it 4" in front an 5" in the rear.I was going to run 38" SSR Super Swampers, until the left rear blowed out bring my new truck camper home. The SSR's are ten ply;but still didn't have enough load rating. So I let the truck back down.Wow, it's nice to have a pretty decent ride back again. Now it's rolling on Rickson Truck Eliminator Wheels & Michelin 285/70R19.5 XDS2+ tires.

I bought a 4" Superlift earlier this year for my F250. The front springs gave me about 5" of lift the the back was lifted 6". For the back, I ordered the Superlift 6" lift springs, figuring I could then remove the 2" factory block, while getting the 4" lift. But to make it level out, I had to put the block back in. So the back was lifted 6". Then a month ago I swapped in a Dana 60, and I would say it raised the front just a tad. So I would roughly say I have 6" of lift front and back. I put 35" tires on it and it looks good. I definitely have room for 37s or maybe a tad larger (not sure about rubbing while turning though), but for price, mileage, and performance reasons, I decided to go with the 35s. I had 33s on it with the lift before I bought the 35s, and it didn't look as bad as I would have thought, but the 35s look like they fit the truck better. I can't comment on fuel mileage thus far because I haven't recalculated the speedometer yet since I installed the 35s. As far as suspension/body lifts, I think that a suspension lift is a more quality lift system, although I would use a body lift as a supplement for additional height. Hope this gives you some insight.

o i deffinately am not that worried about fuel mileage. I was just curious...I am deffinately getting a lift reguardless of the fuel milage. I love lifted truck. Im only 18 so i wana start pretty young lol. This spring im going to sell my boat and that will give me enough money to make the f250 nasty.

I had a 96 F250 supercab shortbed with 460 and automatic that I put a 6" Superlift on and moved the front bumper forward (same as I have done on my current 97 F350) and I was running 37" Swampers. No rubbing, rear pinion got shimmed 6 degrees and front pinion shimmed as well (don't remember how much) . From my years of lifting trucks............... don't do a body lift! If you are hell bent on doing it for cost reasons, and that little extra clearence take a set of 3" pucks and cut them in half to do a 1.5" lift, no more! Just my 2 cents.

Oh I had no problems with the lift driveability after that either. I did have 4.10's as well.

Just check out my gallery with the 97 F250. I love the ride and it is a 4" Tuff County. I had it in a river up to the trim on the side of the doors already which was pretty nice. Also I am running 35" MTZ Mickey Thompsons. I have no problems with the lift and the 35" tires fit fine, they only rub when truning real hard to the left. I also have no body lift on it.

Nice truck big dog. I have the same truck only green. I have 6" stacks as well. I like the size of that truck. It is perfect. I think i am going to go with a 4" lift just for the reasons that i do not want to shim anything. The only thing i may do is like 3rd grader said and buy some hockey pucks and do a body lift to fit 36" tires with no problems. Are you happy with the tuff country lift? Have you found it to sag at all? I was thinking about going with skyjacker lift kit?

Thanks, I am happy with the tuff country lift. Where I bought my lift the guy told me that tuff country and skyjacker is almost the same thing just the fact that you are paying for the skyjacker name. My kit came with new springs leaves upfront, 3" blocks with a add-a-leaf for the back, drop backets and pitman arm along with 4 nitrogne filled shocks. Thay are better than gas filled because are trucks are heavier. The front end sag maybe a 1 inch. I had to get the truck reline after a month of having it since the everything started to settle in. I also bought the kist for $800 and the tries where $215 installed. Any other questions just ask, Greg
