It's bad enough when you just miss a deal like this but what really bites is when you have a deal struck and the SOB sells it out from under you. This has happened a couple of times to me. I guess a person's word isn't as good with some people as what it should be.

Talked to the guy in N.C. with the 6 flatheads .2 are running transplant engines ,3 need rebuild ( 1 has stuck valves), 1 is pre '48 . I think it is a good deal for 2K . I think I could keep one for use and either sell the rest or part them out and that would pay for the engine I used .What do you guys think ?This transaction would have to be by years end . Thanks

The condition of the blocks mean everything on this deal. Even a good running flathead can have a cracked block. Pull heads and check if possible.
