Any ideas on what to throw on the table for 2008 ??
This might be lame but I say some type of camping weekend...some where...like Mrytle Beach?? If there are those whom like the camping...thing..
We make it a family thing....about 10 times a year.... just my 2 cents.
The only thing so far on our agenda for 08 is the Charlotte Auto Fair Spring and Fall show, Although not everybody is a gear-head like me. I'm not sure about camping due to commitments around here (horses, etc) but I'm open. I do think the lower part of the state would be a good place to put something together.
Question Since we're in the Upstate other than the coast what do ya call the lower part......The Downstate.
Thats cool! I'm somewhat of a junk yard scrounger and from what folks are telling me about the spring show having more Ford stuff, I think I'm gonna take the trailer......Just in case.
The + side is if someone breaks down theres no need for a wrecker.
I'd like to get a listing of '08 Auto Fairs, Shows and other events in the state. Then coordinate with Mike & 5-Star Tuning maybe we can get some sound g2gs in.
I hope Rick, Bob and the other members down in the lower state can keep their eyes open for upcoming events. I would really like to have a g2g closer to their neck of the woods in '08.

Well in the down state.....I know of these main events....You have 2 bike weeks a year at the beach...you have Mustang Week at the beach every year(last week in July)....and you have the Pee Dee Street Rodders event..(in March/ April time frame). I will see if i can dig up some more.
Mustang week........Pee Dee Street rodders........Cool.
I know a couple FTEr's from neighboring states that go to the CAF too.
Spring Meet April 3-6, 2008
Fall Meet September 11-14 2008

The "official" terminology for anything below Cola..........is "LowCountry"..........Cola and up some is "midlands".........then you guys wayyyy up there are the "upstate".
DAMN!......haven't you learned anything since you moved here???........
I been here since 94.....no longer a "damn yankee"
Would a paint job be classified as a "mod party"??? If so you guys can come stay at my house...........
Myrtle Beach would be a a good gtg.......just need to find a spot. Plenty to do there. I have been to bike week.......would not be a good time........way too many people and no place not taken up by bikes. Never heard of the Mustang week or the PeeDee Hot Rodders but I'd bet they aren't near as big as bike weeks. I'll see if I can google them.

I had almost forgot about Dreher State Park (Lake Murray).... I thought that was a great "central" location for most.
If we can plan that around hi 70-80 degree days w/no to low humidity... I think it could have excellent potential.
Hopefully I can find some details on the State Park over near Bob (92Flare) That would be a great lower state spot for the Charleston/Myrtle/Beaufort area members
