Dual in / Dual out Flowmaster
Well, I would ALMOST bet my paycheck that I've seen a Flowmaster muffler with two inlets on one end and two outlets on the other, but I've started looking to buy one and I can't find that configuration, and their website is no help.
Have any of you ever seen or used one, and if so can you give me a lead as to the part number or application?

Yes, they do make them. You have a few to choose from.
One is a 50 series (SUV performance) dual 2.25 in/dual 2.25 out part# 524554
another one is a 70 series (Big block II performance truck dual 2.25 in/dual 2.25 out part # 524704
They also make wierd cross flow ones where there is an inlet on either side:
80 series dual 2.5 in/dual 2.5 out part #42582
80 series dual 2.5 in/dual 2.5 out part #42585
Hope this helps -- if you have any more questions, I have their catalog so just ask.

I have never heard a 50 series either, but according to the book, it offers a mellow, deep sound slightly quieter than the 40 series outside the vehicle, and significantly quieter inside the vehicle.
This probibly doesn't help, but if you are looking for noise, go with a 40 series. I don't know what a 40 series sounds like on a 8, but on my six, it actually sounds loud (almost as loud as an 8 with a turbo max muffler), and very powerful. I also have a muffler with delta flow technology, so my sound is reduced. In my opinion, you get a powerful sound with this muffler, and it is probibly the best sound you can get out of a six. just my 2 cents.

Just some FYI.....Flowmaster has discontinued the standard 40-Series mufflers. All they offer now in the 40-Series is the DeltaFlow units. If you do like I did and scour the local performance parts stores you may just happen across the old style.
