I'm a fat man talking about food and it gets blown out of proportion...I'm NOT the guilty party here. I'm a non smoker, non drinker and you're picking on me?

How's that hookah by the way?

I've been on pins and needles waiting to hear something...I finally brooke down and called Joe's house (aka X_Hemi_Guy). I spoke with his mother-in-law (his wife is still at the hospital, as expected) but she reports all is well - he made it thru the surgey and was in recovery waiting on an available room when she left.

OK everybody - BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!

Hopefully, I will be able to get a more detailed/update report tomorrow.

I got an email from Joe's wife, Tracey, late last night that I thought I would pass on to everyone...

I just got home from the hospital...it has been a long day!

Joe's surgery went well. Dr. Aalland was able to repair his larger hernia and the small ones as well as remove "many" adhesions-many more then she thought originally. She also believes she fixed his problem with eating and feeling so full/and not being able to eat pasta at all. He had what she referred to as a wad of intestines with scar tissue wrapped around it-which she thinks was the culprit. Our only down side today was that he spent from 2 pm til 7 pm in recovery because they did not have a room to move him into.

When I left he was resting somewhat comfortably with a morphine push every 8 minutes. He was in a lot of pain but Dr. said that was absolutely to be expected. Still not sure when he'll be home I'll know more tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers...we are so blessed to have so many friends and family helping us through this once again.

I'll plan to keep you posted over the next few days.

In 'our style' - does anyone have an idea and want to pitch in on a get well gift for Joe? I'm thinking something in the 'gag gift' category that would give him a good laugh... something to up his spirits. With the holidays, I know money can be tight (at least it is for me), so i was thinking if we all pitched in a few bucks we could collectively do something better than we could do individually. Feedback?

Money is tight for me to. Sucks to fill the truck up all the time. But i am for sure in on pitching in money to help go out! U cant go wrong with helping someone out who is in need. What are we gonna get him?

I feel soo much better knowing that the little fuk*er can eat pasta again.

Being that he's Italian, it must have really killed him not being able to.
