The 08 superduty's grille is way to big and gaudy with the chrome IMO. Painted black, or the body color like was said earlier, they look alot better.

Chevies are looking to much like an angry face.
+1 for me too. You nailed my thoughts exactly. I consider myself a Ford guy, but I would be embarrassed to be seen in the new Super Dutys.

Best of the "modern" era:
Chevy: 1970-1972
Dodge: 1994-2002
Ford: 1992-1997, 2004-2008, first gen. Superdutys
Toyota: Hmmmmmm . . .can't think of any.

Lately, Dodge and Chevy stylists are trying to get too cute and are creating too many busy wrinkles in the sheet metal. The Toyota is just Fugly. The 2004+ F150 is the cleanest of the bunch of current trucks, IMO.

Why did you go that old and not mention ford. The toughest trucks ford has ever rolled off the assembly line was the 73-77 F250 High Boys, and the 78-79 250's and broncos. IMO Chevy has never had a truck that could keep up with the old fords. The 73-77 High boys were the BEST of the Modern area hands down and theyre will never be a new truck that is as tough as those IMO.

As you can see by my signature, I owned a '76 F250, so I must have thought they were pretty good at the time, too. (As a matter of fact, I traded my '69 Chevy C20 Camper Special on it.) This thread was focused on styling, and although the '73-79 F series were good trucks, I don't believe their styling was that strong, especially the '77-79s. I probably should have included the 1980-86 F series on the list, though. Nice looking rides. JMO,FWIW.

Yea i guess its all personal preference. IMO Chevys always had the ugliest truck on earth, well untill the tundra came along, and i think the superdutys new front end looks like a In Your Face Bad ass in the rear view mirror front end. Crazy how ppls taste is different.

Aberdale, I find it funny you said you'd be embarrassed to be seen in the new super duty just because of the grill, if you drove Lariat or higher of the new ones I'm sure you'd change your mind, inside the trucks are amazing

Ford's Lariat truck interiors are the best out there, I'll give you that. The exterior from the winshield forward is a real turn off for me, though. That grille, headlight scheme and those Gawdawful side vents just make a great truck look bad IMO. If I needed the hauling capacity of a F250/350 SD, I'd probably buy a pre- '07 or a Dodge, but I don't need it anymore. That's why I opted for the F150.

Those 08's look like some kind of illegitimate love-child between a 70's shovel nosed International and an antique MTD lawn tractor.

For the love of GOD! Please stop posting pics.

You mean pics like this? (I kinda like the look, minus the upside down headlights).

No other front end comes close to the new super duty front end when the trucks are lifted, seems like the headlights were designed for the trucks to be about 6" higher then stock

The bumper on my 05 250 is a lot stronger than the one on the 87 I had...Actually everything is stronger than that truck was...I'll put my truck up against any other in the toughness department...

fog lights

If I may ask, why did you put your fog lights close togethor in the middle instead of the stock position?

Because I could? Actually, there are two sets - one running and one fog light set, and they 1) just looked better in the middle, and 2) wouldn't fit in the stock location:
