So what do you expect when they put the '08 Superduty headlights in upside down?

I'll have to say that the 08 superduty is the exception of my last post...

I think the '08 Superduty is the best looking so far. But I have not liked the looks of the F150 since 1997. To me it just looks like another boring SUV with a pickup bed.

But the upside is that separating the F150 from the Superduty line has enabled the Superduty's to get bigger, stronger and heavier without having to worry about how to carry all that on a 1/2 ton pickup frame.

My next truck will be a daily driver so I will be wanting a 1/2 ton truck for that and keep my F250 for the heavy lifting. I was really hoping the 2009 F150's would be styled more like a truck. Instead of an SUV with a Fisher Price activity center for a dash console.

I like the GM's because the 1/2 ton trucks look the same as their big brothers. Yes, the Chevy's rear flares do look doofus but the GMC looks pretty good.

Dodge: Good grief! It's looked the same since what.. 1994?

I'll be an oddball here....

I wish I could get a 78 Dodge Stepside with a modern interior and reliablity.

I personally loved the 2nd gen Dodge rams (94 - 02). The 3rd gens ain't bad, but the 2500-5500s look better then the 1500 and dakota imo. The old dakotas were great looking.

The 08 superduty's grille is way to big and guady with the chrome IMO. Painted black, or the body color like was said earlier, they look alot better.

Chevies are looking to much like an angry face.

I liked the Ford cars and trucks/vans when they looked like "Star wars" Stormtroopers.

The Windstar and Mustangs front end looked like the helmets the stormtroopers wore in the movies. Kinda had a frown look.

The chebbie trucks used to have an angry look too with the pinched down headlights - THESE TRUCKS WERE THE DEFINITION OF UGLY.

Fords design is getting better, but I hate the thinking that all of the cars and trucks must look the same - LIKE DODGE - which is no longer tied with the German volks.

Newer trucks are going well beyond ugly! I'd rather see Judy Dench naked than have to set eyes abpoun another new silverado or super duity. The people who buy these things must be the same people who keep the plastic lawn ornament industry in buisness, they simply have no taste

What's with the 78 Pontiac Trans Am fender vents on the Super Duity anyhow?

Actually, I bought it in spite of it's looks! I know what these machines are capable of, despite the headlights being upside down, and a grill only a mother could love.....besides, beauty is only skin deep. (And I've got a fix coming up for those vents....).

I'm praying to all that is good and holy that some aftermarket company will introduce a light kit to flip the lights back to where they belong - ON TOP of the blinkers!!!!

IF I had the skill to do body work, I'd have me a mid 70's F250 highboy with a swapped in fuel injected 460 and manual trans with a granny low. The mechanical things, I have no problem with, but I truly suck at body work, In my area, these truck are well rotted out before any major mechanical failures. SO I can find engines and such no problem, but finding good sheet metal is the problem.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the new Chevrolet body style looks ridiculous. Looks like it was designed by a committee who never talked to each other. Whats with the separate, detached painted (sometimes chromed) sides on each side of the front bumper? And those ridiculous fender flares (and tailgate flare). Even the stacked headlights look like crap. The previous design could at times look a bit cumbersome, but the current model just looks downright clumsy. I used to hate the previous design, but it has kind of grown on me over the years.

The F150 styling (in my opinion) hasn't looked decent since 1997. The current "Kleenex box" styling looks a bit better than the previous design, but not by much. I kind of like the new F250s (I guess I'm supposed to call them "Super Duty's" but that's another gripe) but they cost too dang much. They also don't seem as huge as the previous generation, which always looked kind of gargantuan to me.

The newest Dodge styling looks ok, but the short bed models look silly to me. Of all the 2008 models, they seem to look the least controversial (or maybe their just bland).

The full-size Toyotas just look silly to me, and any truck-type product that Nissan puts out just looks flat-out weird. It's like they're trying too hard to stand out from the crowd, and they go about it all wrong.

Hope I haven't offended anyone here. I'm just an old fart that thinks truck styling peaked with the 1979 model year.
