Recurring 4WD Problem
#18
Guys, I had that grinding noise occaisionally comming from my front hubs and took it to the dealer...... they wanted to replace the hub assembly $$$
On here I was told that it may be the vacuum pump switch (located in the engine compartment on the firewall just aft of the bettery. it took the parts girl some time to locate the part and they had one $50. Went home pulled the old one out, pluged the new one in (less than 2 minutes) and put some electrical tape around the wires where they terminated.........
That was 8 months ago........ hah felt good getting one over on the $ervice dept........... still don't trust 'em diagnostics for some reason
