Wiring King Ranch Seats

I'm trying to replace the non-power cloth seats in my 1999 F-250 SD with a set of King Ranch seats. I have tried to locate a wiring diagram but nothing I've found is detailed enough to help. The passenger side has 2 wires so I figure that is power and ground but the driver seat has 5 or 6 wires I think. I can get the wire colors from the seats if that would help. If someone is able to help me I would really appreciate it.

Honestly, I don't know. I bought them on ebay. He originally had the front and back plus the console but I only needed the fronts ( I have an XLT extended cab). He said he had someone who only wanted the backs so it worked out good. I think they were out of an Excursion. Is there somewhere I can look on the seat to find the year?

List the color of the wires, main color first, and the stripe or dot color second, and maybe we can find a later diagram that matches.

I have the info. The seats appear to have been made in April 2005. There is a label on the harness that states "tested 4/5/05" and the part number 5C343600034APB3105.

The wires are as follows:
Driver seat
18 gauge? Brown with blue stripe (appears to be seat belt sensor)
14 gauge? Black
14 gauge? White with red stripe
14 gauge? Green
14 gauge? Red with black stripes
16 gauge? Blue with red stripe

Passenger side
14 gauge? White with red stripe
14 gauge? Black with white stripe
14 gauge? Black

The ? are because I think that is the gauge wire. Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to figure out your wires, but I can't seem to find what you need. I looked at a 2005 f150 diagram, and a 2003 superduty diagram. There are heated seats, memory seats, power seats, all with more wires than you seem to have. What I have listed below was common on both diagrams, and was the power feed from the fuse box. What I suggest is getting a small 10 amp battery charger, and hooking up to the wires. It seems that the black is always ground, so I think you are safe there. I would hook the + of the battery charger up to the other wires and see what happens. If something goes wrong, the circuit breaker in the charger should protect everything.

Driver's seat;
darkgreen=power
black=ground

Passenger seat;
red/white=power
black=ground

Howdy Franklin2,
I just read this thread and noticed that you made a comment about looking at a 2005 f150 diagram... I am now in the middle of installing King Ranch seats from a 2005 f150 in my 1997 f350. I would love it if you would list off the wiring for the drivers seat and the passengers seat. Please and Thank you.

How much of the seat wiring and modules do you have? Do you have just the seat and the motors, or do you have the modules and the seat switches and they are all plugged in.

I think that I have everything except the harness that comes from the truck itself. I have the seats with the swithces attacthed to the side of the seats, the wires go from the swithces to a harness under the seat. If this does not answer your question, please define the switches, modules, and harness.

Heated portion of the seat. Both these wires go to the heat control module.

Red/black goes to battery + hot all the time. It is a 30 amp circuit.

White/lightblue is another power wire that is hot only with the key in run. It's a 10 amp circuit.

Power portion of the seat. These wires feed the switches, and are battery + hot all the time.

Driver's side is a darkgreen wire from a 30 amp circuit.

Passenger side is a red/white wire and is another 30 amp circuit.

If you have the memory option, there is also a orange/lightgreen wire and a darkgreen that feeds the driver's seat module. The orange/lightgreen is a 5 amp, and hot all the time bat +. The darkgreen is shown to be the same darkgreen that feeds the switches. There may be a few extra wires that you will not need that go to the adjustable pedal assembly.

This is great info. I am just about to install my 2005 Harley Davidsson F-150 seats in my Excursion, so I have both frame and electrical issues... fixed the frame already, electrical to go...

The seat holds memory module, heat module, and pre-tension of seatbelt module (I am not sure about this last one, but there is something looking like a munition advice on the side of the seatbelt golder). I was just going to power up the dark green and black, and see if I can get the seat to adjust. Memory optional - heat later. I just disconnected the pre-tenisoner for safety.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Anders

Tried +12 volt to dark green, and gorund on black, and I have nothing. Any other pins in the global module that need power to enable the power seat?

Thanks,

Anders
