valve covers

will 302 vaqlve covers fit a rebuilt 351w 4v??? either the valves need adjusting or the lifters are hitting the covers. covers are aluminum and off a 302. any ideas??

Aluminum valve covers are at least as tall if not taller than the stock covers.
If the motor is fresh, you may need to readjust the valves.

pull one off and measure, hard to say without part numbers. I'm thinking your hearing noisy lifters or bad valve adjustment/wrong parts?

I also hear just a slight knock, not loud and very inconsistant. power steering pump is louder!
