Remove big pulley

Hi
Iīm new to this forum.
I thought you could be able to help me remove a big crank shaft pulley from my 1956 Fire truck engine. Itīs a 272 and the pulley has probably been connected to a waterpump mounted in the front of the truck. Itīs about 10" long and I donīt seem to be able to use a removing tool. I have a big 2 arm remover but the only thing that happens is that the pulley gets destroyed. Any interesting ideas. Maybe I just should cut it off.
Is there a way to show pictures in this forum?

Thanks
By the way in case you wonder, iīm not american. I live in Sweden
