Some good news!!!
Hey guys, I just found out that God has blessed my wife and I. We just found out my wife is about five weeks pregnant!! So I'm going to be a dad...wow! Kinda scared/excited but who wouldn't be ya know. Anyways I just felt like telling yall. Oh and don't worry, I won't have to sell the truck or anything LOL. This is awesome, I've always wanted a family and an ole' hotrod to work on!!!

They're kinda like old trucks except they don't come with a manual. Cost a lot, constantly fixing something, can't seem to get them to work, etc. Don't worry about that though, cause everybody will have tons of advice for you.
Smile politely and say 'thank you' - then ignore 99% of it. Do what seems right to you and the missus and it'll be good........ until Jr Hi....... Of course, this is all tongue-in-cheek
Happy for you both! I'm into collecting grandkids - they're even more precious.

Woohoooo!!!! A big round of frosties!!!
You do know that you have approx 8 months to buy all the major components for your truck don't you?
I know, I know, little woman says that you can keep your hobbies and the new ankle-biter won't interfere, and I'm sure she even means it. But (there's always a but isn't there??) Life will creep up on you and the next thing you know, your like the rest of us family men/truck guys. You'll scrimp and save, hoarding away every little last bit of spare change while pouring over the latest old truck catalog. Your heart is set on the new (insert name here of desired part) and just when you are finally ready to make the order BAM!!!!!!
There will be a doctor's appointment, or the doctor's appt from last month ate up the money for the car insurance that is due this month, or a whole mini van of well meaning in-laws shows up to visit and you watch your hard saved pennies being eaten up by Cousing Mable everytime she goes to the fridge or her young offsprings leaving half emptied cans of soda-pops laying about the house. Or, "Ooops, Honey we'r eout of daipers can your run down to the store?" she will say witht he cute little smile on her face while holding young "pride of your eyes" in her arms........
....everytime you turn around those little things are always demanding some kind of attention...clothes, food, love, cleaning, fluids checked, er, um...well, you get the picture
I'm just pulling your leg a bit here. Yes, you can keep your truck hobby, there will just be some times where progress really slows as other things take precedent. Welcome to family life! You'll find a way to balance it
Give the little woman a squeeze from all of us

AMEN AMEN!!! God is good!!! My wife, too, is expecting. I think she's about 10 or 11 weeks now. Our second. I have to agree w/ the advice here of the dad-toy funding. My advice, separate account. It's precisely how I'm growing a fund even amidst the prenatal expenses. All of this is small beans though.
Praying for health for ours and yours!!!

Not to hijack this thread, but I can already tell my boys are gonna like trucks, because my toyota pickup is 4 cylinder with a 2 chamber flowmaster and they seem to enjoy the sound of it. When she was still pregnant i would take her to her doctor appointments in it just to see how they responded and they would kick like crazy. Btw, I haven't been in the garage for atleast a month. Good luck and start buying diapers, bottles, wipes early.
