Personally I don't care for the "broken axle" look of trucks when set on the ground, but to each is own.
From a driveline point of view, each joint is meant to rotate in a certain angle and if you run it at severe angles then you set yourself up for some serious wear or vibration. Yes, they travel to extremes, but they are not meant for continued use in those extremes. Tire wear is another thing also.
Just some thoughts from an outsider.
