Fuel Gauge

I have got to get my fuel gauge fixed in the 79. Hasn't worked since I've owned the truck, almost a year. We went to se the Finley River Park light show last night.
I was sure I had enough gas in the thing. We made it to MikyD's for drinks, and it died on me. Lucky to have a not to convience store across the street that would gladly sell me two one gallon gas containers.
Two trips back across the street, and it was running. Yes I filled it up. Anybody want to work on some gauges?
The lights were nice.

Have you checked the electrical connections at the tank?
