Thumbs up We need some action in So Cal People!

Seriously, what's up with this chapter? We must have a huge number of people from So Cal and The Island, but the forum is dead. DEAD!!!

Now, what are we all going to do about that?

I don't expect regular meetings, heck, I've still gotta call Bill and meet him at a local coffee shop and shoot the breeze! I KNOW we're all busy, but can't we all at least take some time to not only post in here, but also RESPOND to other members postings?

SO CAL should be rockin' and rollin' with activity... so.... whaddya say people?

Let's get this forum fired up and represent at FTE!

I'm making my promise today to become more active in posting and responding to posts.

Let's DO IT!!!

I'm with you, Russ. I understand the G2G problem, what with being so spread out and all, but we should at least put something up on the boards once in a while, myself included.

Ppl here have too many diversions.

Months ago, I proposed a run to a local junkyard/dismantler that has NOS Ford parts from the 1950's thru the 1980's, plus tons of other used Ford goodies.

The owner, a long time pal, agreed to open Sunday (!!), if enough ppl signed up. The sum total of 3 were interested in going.

I've tried getting a joint Ford truck GTG with the local Galaxie Club. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

I tried one more time, suggesting a GTG at the Perris RR Museum...only a coupla ppl were interested.

Here is a venue that kids from all ages would enjoy.

If Bill Gates offered $1,000,000.00 to every SoCal'er that showed up for a GTG, he might give away 5 million.

The last local Packard Club GTG I went to, drew over 400 ppl.

Considering the car hasn't been made since 1956, that's amazing.

Next time?

I'm still waiting for the first time!

Ppl here have too many other things to do.

Most have jobs (I'm retired).

Most have a family.

All I have is a long suffering wife and Waldo, Gideon and Ladykins...

...three Basset Hounds.

Alrighty then!

Bill, I'll call you around Noon today. I'm taking my twins to their friends birthday party in Burbank. Chuck-E-Cheese..... definitely going to have a beer after I get home from that event. We're leaving for Beautiful Downtown Burbank no later than 11:00 AM.

Maybe we can get together tomorrow morning in Rowland Heights or Hacienda Heights and slurp some coffee with Steve. Is there a Starbucks or Coffee Bean or ?? near Colima and Azusa?

Got to get on to the honey-do list in a few minutes so I'll check back before I leave or after we talk today Bill.

Sounds good to me - I go up to Pico Rivera every Sunday (yes, on purpose )
anyhow, SGV isn't far at all.

Yes.

There's a Starbucks in a strip mall opposite the Puente Hills Mall, south side of Colima, west of Albatross. It's west of the Barnes & Noble bookstore. Exit 60 Fwy at Azusa, go south, then turn left on Colima. Albatross marks the eastern end of the PH Mall.

I can just imagine what y'all will say when I drive up. It's a CC, it's red, but...

Post up a time when you get it together. Who knows, it may actually attract others.

Nope, not a Chebbie, nor a GMC...not a hodge podge Dodge either. Toyota? You gotta be kidding! Not a Lincoln LT.

10:00 AM at the Starbucks works for me...tho I may be flamed when I drive up in my 2006 ****** *****!
